Dr. Brumm is not the smartest, that is for sure. He is a big and husky fellow, who never gives up and who solves all appearing problems in his own special manner – typical Dr. Brumm like. His friend Pottwal is his housemate and his companion for all sorts of activities. Being a fish does not simplify things, but makes them a lot more interesting. Inspite of adverse laws of nature and various catastrophes involving beavers, badgers, bees, blackbirds and otters Dr. Brumm always learns something new in the end.
